Chicago is one of my favorite cities to date. I have travelled there more times than I can count, but I still discover new beauties each time I go. The food is amazing, the views are insane, and the shopping…. helllloooo. But, some of my favorite things to explore while in town, are the incredible hotels. When you walk in, it’s as if you’re entering a museum. There is art, history, and a story to each one, and I may have discovered my favorite on yet last week while I was there.

The Chicago Athletic Association was an old men’s athletic club that was recently transformed into a top notch hotel. The ambiance is sporty, yet classy and funky, yet masculine. The hotel consists of a penthouse restaurant bar called Cindy’s. Unless staying at the hotel, they have a one in, one out policy which quickly creates a line at the ground level elevators due to high demand. The views from their balcony of Millennium Park are unbeatable.

The lobby extends off to a game room that has a full size bocce ball, pool, shuffle board, and foosball. The bar in the game room specializes in unique cocktails, and if you make friends with Geo, the bartender, you might just leave with a full wallet.

Oh, and did I mention there is a Shake Shack on the ground level that delivers to your room late night? Sold… to room 927.
