Cowboy Take Me Away
Travel has always been a huge part of Sean and I’s relationship. We both love traveling, but unfortunately, a large chunk of our travel was spent going back and forth from Fayetteville and Dallas in attempt to keep our relationship afloat. Long distance dating was hard, but we were able to make it work (shout out to facetime and snail mail). Because of our distance, airports often had a negative connotation. They resembled leaving and were always associated with sadness. Sean actually had a tradition of playing “Here Comes Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts each time he would drop me off to leave…. That’s a whole other blog post in itself.
In October we were able to change the connotation that we so distinctly had associated with an airport. After lots of brainstorming, we decided to have the location of our wedding ceremony be at an airport. This was quite the leap of faith, as I’m sure few of you have witnessed the exchanging of vows on a tarmac, but boy are we glad we did it. Below you can see how we took this foreign concept and ran with it.
