EUFY MONITOR

My husband is a big researcher when it comes to technology, so he took the reigns on deciding which monitor we would use. After doing some digging we landed on the Eufy monitor, and we have grown to love it! The camera is extremely impressive, especially in the dark. The home screen displays the temperature in her room as well as the time. When I roll over in the middle of the night, I can easily make sure her room is still within range (68-72 degrees) and check the time. It also has an alarm that sounds when the noise in her room exceeds a certain octave. This is an incredible feature for us because Kessler is a grunter. We can turn the volume down and the monitor will notify us when she is actually crying, not just grunting. Lastly, you can rotate the lense of the camera from the handheld monitor. As she rolls around in her crib in the middle of the night, we can constantly keep an eye on her by rotating the camera.

haakaa

If you listen to one thing in this entire post, this is it! The haakaa is a handheld pump that you can use in place of your electric pump. There are several ways to use the pump, but my favorite is sticking it on the side that you are not nursing on while you are breastfeeding. It will catch your let down (instead of wasting it in a breast pad or washcloth) and pull some additional milk out as well. This helped me start a stockpile of milk in my freezer without having to pump. I also love to use the haakaa during the day when were out of the house and I need to give a bottle. I have two and will stick them on in the car on the way to or from an event. It helps me relieve my boobs and keep my milk supply regulated. (These are also easy to stick in your purse with some empty milk bags if you need to sneak away and pump at a dinner, wedding, etc.)

KICKEE PANTS CONVERTER GOWNS

Midnight diaper changes can be a beast, and these gowns make it so easy. There is no unzipping or unbuttoning, you just slip up the bottom of the dress, change the diaper, and pull it back down. Baby isn’t disturbed and you aren’t spending too much time dressing and undressing when you need to be sleeping. These are also made of bamboo (which means they are suuuuper soft), and they have flaps to fold over their hands to prevent face scratching. The back of the gowns also have snaps that can be undone to convert the bottom of the gown into pants. This makes transportation in a carseat easy especially if you are planning on putting them down at a freinds house and transporting them home after they have fallen asleep. Oh, and they all come with a matching hat. So basically they thought of everything!
